I know this is off track from the story, and I apologize for that, but it prompted an internal response. I am not familiar with other Portuguese writers, but one does show up on my all time, top 10 favorite writers list. I've read every book by Jose Saramago, and I thoroughly love his stuff. So of course I'm wondering if you read him too and what you think of him.
