I, ROBOT ALIEN — PART ONE
I, ROBOT ALIEN — PART TWO
Chapter Twenty-Three
After a few days at sea, life aboard the ship became routine and predictable. I had booked my passage in steerage to avoid too many close, daily interactions with the other passengers and crew. I was expected to eat my meals below deck in the company of immigrants, derelicts, and misfits. While I found these people no different from my usual encounters, they did leave me alone to fend for myself as I saw fit, which suited my purposes well.
Meanwhile, Billy remained above deck, often hanging about the crosstrees of the topmast, attempting to look inconspicuous.
