Man, I am with you all the way on this. And really surprised by some knee-jerk reactions against it. You identify and explain the changes really well. The changes happened to catch me off guard, but I was blown away by the effects on reading. One more not mentioned that I think was genius was forcing the background to white and the print to black. Even though I'd read stories with colored backgrounds and white print, I did not enjoy the experience -- bending only because the writing was so good. Wonderful article, and I enjoyed it immensely.
