I love Medium.

I really do.

So much so, I stopped blogging from my own website.

Audience growth is dynamic on Medium. Non-existent on my website.

Engagement is productive on Medium. Non-existent on my website.

Visits are repeated often on Medium. Almost non-existent on my website.

You get the point.

But this was really due to my personal misperception.

I misunderstood the nature and purpose of a website.

As I noted recently on Facebook:

I’ve come to realize author websites are not that interactive. Nor really a place visitors go to often. More of a home base for introductions. And directions to one’s creations.

And so, I revamped my site.

Made it concise and simple and more appropriate to my age.

I took out all the little gimmicks and attractions.

Now, it is just a place to land by way of Introduction.

To show you the books I’ve published.

And to guide you to my free writings — all shared here on Medium.
