Once again, I couldn't agree more. Our times with Trump reminded me of how the Civil War treated friends and family. Quite simply, there are things that are more important than either. I did lose friends and family over Trump, but their support of such ignorance and malice was beyond endurance. Yes, I was criticized for letting politics override relationships, but your piece is absolutely correct in maintaining right over blatant wrong. And to tell you the truth, I miss neither those friends or family members. If we had been back in the 1860's, I know I would have gone to war against them.
