This is timely and highly relevant for me. I'm going to save the article and take some of the steps you mention. I've been posting the chapters of my novel in the making. It's getting an inordinately positive response. In turn, I've had these niggling worries about the material being stolen before I can publish the book as a complete novel. My intention has been to remove the prior posts at some point, and probably stop posting new chapters as well. Like I said, timely and relevant to me. Thank you.
