TWO CENTS: In 2010 - due to the previous Financial Meltdown - I was living with my brother and his wife. Important: I'd gone through all my savings. And I was unemployed. Now I should mention: Four dogs also lived there: 2 German Shepherds, 2 Labs. When Steve and Barb vacationed in Costa Rica, I was left to care for them. Came home one day to find my entire 90 day supply of medication had been broken into. "Someone" had eaten all the pills. No one would confess. All four dogs had to go to the vet and have their stomachs pumped. You can just imagine the cost to me, money I didn't have. Fortunately, because my Sis in Law had pet insurance, at least the total bill was reduced considerably, and I only had to ante up a few thousand rather than many multiples of that. Again, just my 2 cents worth.
